Emergency Planning
The Finger Lakes Public Health Alliance (FLPHA) is made up of eight counties in the region.
These eight counties in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State formed an alliance in 2003 to facilitate planning for public health emergencies. FLPHA includes: Chemung, Livingston, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates Counties. Depending on the type of emergency experienced in our region, public health workers from an unaffected county may provide mutual aid to another county in need of assistance. Legal authority to perform mutual aid was granted by the governing body in each of the Finger Lakes Counties for the period of July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2025.
