Regional Early Childhood Coalition
The Finger Lakes Regional Early Childhood Coalition (RECC) is a regional consortium of constituents involved in early childhood services for developmentally delayed children and their families. Counties participating in this Pivital initiated project include Cayuga, Chemung, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, and Yates.
Purpose
The purpose of the RECCis to bring partners together who have a stake in the provision of care for children in the Early Intervention and Preschool Services Programs. The objective of the RECC is to "create a forum for dialogue among partners that will lead to the strengthening of the quality of services provided to children in the Early Intervention and Preschool Services Programs."
Constituents on the RECCare appointed by each county and include one CPSE Chair, a provider of Early Intervention / Preschool Special Education Services, a parent/caregiver of a child with special needs, and a County Official from the Early Intervention/Preschool Special Education Programs from 11 counties across the region.
